Proposal of additional layer in therapy for a Microcystic Adnexal Carcinoma: Report of a Case
Microcystic adnexal carcinoma (MAC) is a very rare, low grade, malignant adnexal tumor with less than 700 cases reported worldwide that typically occurs on the head and neck, particularly the central face. Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) was employed successfully in this case, with an additional layer after complete clearance of margins with no recurrence at 5 five year of follow-up. Therefore, the additional layer in MMS promising a long term no recurrence option.
