The configurational mechanism of triple-chain integration for promoting china's green total factor productivity
This paper constructs the innovation chain, industrial chain, and capital chain "Triple-Chain" indicator system and the green total factor productivity (GTFP) indicator system based on economic, technological, and financial data from 31 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) in China. Using the Composite System and Collaborating Model and the Slack-Based Measure-Data Envelopment Analysis (SBM-DEA), the paper conducts an empirical study on the interprovincial Triple-Chain integration and the changes in GTFP in China from 2011 to 2020, identifying disparities and development trends. Building on this foundation, this study takes 2020 as the research year for illustration and employs Fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) to identify the synergistic effects generated by different combinations of provincial innovation chains, industrial chains, and capital chains, which are treated as conditional variables. It further elaborates on the positive impact mechanisms and pathways through which these combinations influence GTFP. The findings thus offer theoretical references and optimization strategies to facilitate sustainable development across regional economies and enhance high-quality economic growth.
