Spaceborne series microwave photonic large-scale array frequency conversion technology
To meet the demand of large-scale lightweight and low-power consumption frequency conversion technology in the Q/V band of high throughput satellite communication system, a series microwave photonic large-scale array frequency conversion technology is proposed. The centralized local oscillator technology is used to save local oscillators and Radio frequency cables, the wavelength division multiplexing technology is used to save frequency conversion channels and the large-scale optical switch is used to achieve unblocked channel routing. Through the design and simulation of the spaceborne series-type microwave photonic large-scale array frequency converter, the prototype and experimental verification of the spaceborne series-type microwave photonic array frequency converter were completed. The results show that the spaceborne series microwave photonic large-scale array frequency converter has obvious technical advantages in array size, weight, and power consumption, providing an effective solution for high throughput communication satellites.
