Research on frequency decoupling of fast steering mirror based on a decoupling structure

To enhance communication efficiency and the tracking capability in optical communication processes, this paper proposes a design method for a high-bandwidth, large-aperture fast steering mirror(FSM). This method retains the advantages of traditional design approaches while significantly reducing the limitations imposed by frequency coupling between the first and second-order resonant frequencies in the working direction. By employing a decoupling structure designed using neural network technology, this method greatly improves iteration efficiency. Test results show that the application of the decoupled structure increases the interval between the first and second-order frequencies of the FSM in the working direction of each axis from around 540Hz to around 950Hz. The working stroke is increased by nearly 1.3 times compared to that without the decoupled structure, and a working bandwidth of 213Hz is achieved through a simple control algorithm test.
