High-precision simulation method and error analysis of cumulative photon sequences of x-ray pulsars
X-ray pulsar-based navigation (XPNAV) has emerged as a pivotal technology for autonomous spacecraft positioning ,with the advancement of deep-space exploration. This study presents a high-fidelity photon-sequence simulation framework, integrating pulsar timing models with Poisson statistics, rigorously validated using observational data from the Crab pulsar. We apply phase folding and synchronous averaging to enhance the temporal resolution of noise-suppressed pulsar profiles. Key parameters including phase bins, detection times, and detector areas are systematically analyzed for their impact on the pulsar profile simulation accuracy. Our results show that the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the pulse profile is effectively improved under experimental conditions. This experiment provides important insights into a better understanding of the pulsar radiation process as well as the future pulsar autonomous navigation system, ensuring higher precision pulsar autonomous navigation.
