Extraordinary optical transmission behavior of terahertz waves based on graphene
Metamaterials are a class of artificial structural materials that can break through the inherent property limitations of natural materials. By innovatively designing their internal microstructures, they can achieve unprecedented control over incident waves and exhibit significant application value in the field of terahertz anomalous optical transmission. In this article, the authors designed a terahertz wave extraordinary optical transmission structure based on graphene, including a two-dimensional graphene layer, a PI layer as a monolayer graphene, an ionic gel as a dielectric, and a cross-shaped metal structure with holes in sub-wavelength square holes. The transmittance of the cross-shaped metal structure with holes at 0.9 THz is 0.93, which enables the terahertz wave to change from a non-transmitting state to an almost fully transmitting state at the resonant frequency, achieving extraordinary transmission behavior of terahertz waves. The proposed terahertz wave extraordinary optical transmission structure based on graphene has certain application value in terahertz sensor devices and other fields.
