A RELEVÂNCIA DO ENSINO DE ARTES E A PRÁTICA PEDAGÓGICA DO DESENHO NOS ANOS INICIAIS

The objective of this article is to explore the relevance of drawing in the learning process of students in the early years of elementary school and how teachers' pedagogical practices can effectively integrate this tool into children's cognitive, social, and emotional development. The methodology used will be a bibliographic review, with the analysis of existing studies and research on the importance of drawing in the school context and teachers' pedagogical practices. Scientific publications, books, and academic articles that discuss the relationship between drawing, children's creativity, and pedagogical strategies applied in the early stages of basic education will be addressed. The review is expected to highlight how drawing can contribute to the development of language, emotional expression, spatial perception, and motor coordination in children. It also seeks to identify which pedagogical practices are most effective for integrating drawing into the school curriculum and how these practices can stimulate active and creative learning. The conclusion of the article should reinforce that drawing is a valuable pedagogical tool that, when used well, can enrich teaching practices in the early years. Furthermore, the importance of teachers in encouraging the use of drawing as a means of expression and learning will be highlighted, providing a more dynamic, inclusive and creative teaching environment for children.
