Construction of MTI-Specific Case Database and Practice of Case-Based Teaching
Applied translation serves as a core practical course in the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program. In response to the demand for translation talent cultivation under the "New Liberal Arts" initiative, this study explores the development of an industry-specific MTI teaching case database and implements a three-dimensional teaching model ("theoretical instruction-case analysis-simulated training") in MTI graduate students (2021 and 2022) at our university.By constructing a military science and weaponry-focused case database, the research demonstrates that specialized case databases effectively bridge translation theory and practice, significantly enhancing students' professional competence. This study will provide some inspirations for MTI curriculum reform in peer institutions.
