The 5th National Scientific Conference, “Old Age as Seen by Psychology: The Changing Image of Old Age”, was held on April 18–19, 2024, at the Institute of Psychology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków. Organized by the Polish Academy of Sciences’ Psychology Committee and the Institute of Psychology, the conference focused on exploring the evolving image of old age amidst rapid societal changes. The event featured four keynote lectures, five thematic symposia, and a panel discussion, gathering experts from various disciplines. Discussions centered on psychological, social, and cultural aspects of aging, cognitive reserves, and the role of the older adults in society. The conference provided a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, highlighting the importance of addressing the needs and challenges of the aging population.
