Dynamics of Ion‐Acoustic Solitary Waves in Relativistic Magnetorotating Plasmas in the Presence of Degenerate Electrons and Positrons

ABSTRACT This study examines the nonlinear features of solitary ion‐acoustic (IA) waves propagating in a three dimensional magnetorotating plasma composed of warm inertial ions along with degenerate electrons and positrons. Where the ions are taken to be adiabatic and relativistic, and electrons and positrons are supposed to obey the degenerate Thomas‐Fermi density distribution. The reductive perturbation approach is employed to derive a generalized Zakharov‐Kuznetsov (ZK) equation that characterizes the evolution of nonlinear IA solitary waves. The stationary solution of ZK equation and a Sagdeev potential has been formulated to analyze the variations in the oblique propagation of IA solitary waves. Numerical analysis reveals that the soliton structures are highly sensitive to relevant plasma parameters, including ion temperature, relativistic ion streaming speed, positron concentration, obliqueness angle, magnetic field strength, and rotation frequency. It is found that an increase in ion temperature (or positron concentration) generally reduces the soliton amplitude and broadens (narrows) its width, while stronger relativistic streaming enhances the soliton amplitude and compresses its width. Additionally, the soliton width exhibits a strong dependence on both the external magnetic field and plasma rotation, highlighting the dispersive role of Coriolis force and magnetization effects. Furthermore, comparison between non‐relativistic and ultra‐relativistic electron/positron degeneracy cases indicates that ultra‐relativistic effects support stronger phase velocities and broader solitary structures. These findings may contribute to a comprehensive understanding of soliton propagation in rotating plasmas relevant to both astrophysical phenomena and laboratory settings, where degenerate electrons and positrons coexist under the influence of strong magnetic fields.
