Formação continuada para professores da Educação de Jovens e Adultos: uma análise reflexiva
Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in Brazil has been the subject of numerous academic discussions, particularly regarding how to effectively address the specific needs of this population—especially with the expansion of the modality into Professional and Technological Education (EPT). One of the most debated points is teacher education, due to the need to reshape pedagogical practices and knowledge, emphasizing the importance of continuing education for teachers, both in initial training and in the professional development of their students. In this context, this article analyzes the importance of teacher education for effective pedagogical practice within the EJA modalities: PROEJA and PROEJA FIC. The research adopted the method of systematic literature review, selecting four critical and reflective studies conducted in Brazilian educational institutions focused on EJA. The study concludes that teacher education for EJA, in its various forms, must be expanded to enhance pedagogical practice and better address the specific needs of this educational demand.
