Secure University Certificate Sharing Application with Blockchain Technology
The primary aim of the idea is to develop and build a strong-decentralized platform for managing, storing and sharing of student's certificates securely while ensuring the value of the certificate. The application uses Hyperledger Fabric- a permissioned blockchain framework, to maintain a safe and secure sharing of certificates. The World is changing to adapt and utilize this technology to yield a no middleman management system. AWS S3 buckets- which offer high availability and security for digital data. S3 bucket acts as a solution with expandable storage for managing certificate files, while the blockchain ledger-hold records like metadata-includes ownership, timestamps, and transaction details. For student's authentication and password management the project also uses MongoDB - a NoSQL database that is known for its performance. MongoDB securely stores the students' credentials and leveraging hashed passwords for strong protection that protects from unauthorized access of data. So to analyse the chain-Hyperledger Explorer, a tool that used to have a view and manage chain nodes of the blockchain's data and activities. Hyperledger Explorer enables the administrators like university department professors to visualize transactions, blocks, and nodes within the network, enhancing trust in the certificate management process. The application is built with Node.js and JavaScript to make backend logic a lightweight and efficient implementation. In this paper the Secure Certificate Sharing Blockchain Application Network offers a solution to the challenges of certificate sharing and management to the world where the value of the university and its certificates protected. By combining the strengths of Hyperledger Fabric, cloud storage, and technologies like Mongodb, this project demonstrates the potential of blockchain to transform traditional methods of sharing of certificates into secure and efficient systems. This application not only made to protect the value of certificates from forgery but has a way for innovative implementation of growing tech applications in university.
