Deep Learning Based Facial Skin Analysis and Product Recommendation

This paper presents an innovative Deep Learning based system designed for comprehensive facial skin analysis and personalized skincare product recommendation. It leverages advanced image processing techniques and deep learning models to assess facial skin types and identify skin defects, offering users tailored skincare solutions. The system comprises two primary components: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for facial skin type classification and skin defect identification, and a ResNet50-based model for multi-label classification of various skin defects. In the first component, the CNN models are meticulously trained to analyze and categorize facial skin into distinct types such as normal, dry, and oily. Additionally, these models are adept at detecting prevalent skin defects including acne, scars, and open pores. By processing high-resolution facial images, the CNNs provide a detailed analysis that surpasses traditional manual assessments, ensuring objective and accurate results. The second component employs a ResNet50-based model to perform multi-label classification of skin defects. This model is trained on a diverse dataset, incorporating various skin conditions to enhance its robustness and generalization capabilities. The use of binary cross-entropy loss as an optimization technique ensures precise identification of multiple skin defects simultaneously. This multi-label approach is critical for offering comprehensive insights into the user's skin health. The project is implemented as a web-based application, making it accessible to users through standard web browsers. The application interface is designed to be user-friendly, guiding users through the process of capturing facial images, analyzing skin conditions, and receiving personalized skincare recommendations. The integration of these advanced technologies not only provides accurate skin analysis but also enhances user satisfaction by delivering customized skincare solutions. Extensive testing and validation of the project demonstrate its high accuracy in skin type classification and defect identification. User feedback indicates a high level of satisfaction with the system's recommendations, underscoring its potential as a reliable tool for personalized skincare. In conclusion, the project showcases the transformative potential of AI-driven facial skin analysis and personalized skin-care recommendations. By harnessing the power of CNNs and ResNet50 models, it offers a comprehensive and accurate assessment of facial skin conditions, paving the way for personalized skincare regimens. The system's web-based implementation ensures accessibility and convenience for users, making advanced skincare solutions readily available to a broad audience.
