A Manchester-Encoded Isolation Communication System using PLL-Controlled Delay

This study introduces a high-precision isolated communication system utilizing Manchester encoding with a phase-locked loop (PLL)-controlled delay mechanism to enhance noise immunity in transmission. Conventional approaches that depend on external clock synchronization often encounter significant challenges in isolated environments due to interference. To address these limitations, the proposed system integrates a self-clock-recovery Manchester decoding design, which eliminates the need for an external synchronization clock while ensuring robust noise resistance. The novel decoding approach accurately captures mid-cycle transition signals, enabling precise data recovery. Simulation results demonstrate the system’s stability and high precision across data rates ranging from 1Mbps to 10Mbps, providing a reliable and efficient solution for isolated communication applications.
