Compact, Foldable and Lightweight Electric Scooter: Scootlite
This paper presents the design and development of “Scootlite,” a compact, foldable, and lightweight electric scooter tailored for urban mobility. Scootlite addresses the need for efficient last-mile transportation by integrating a dual-motor drive system with a precision-engineered folding mechanism. The design focuses on ease of use, portability, and safety, making it suitable for crowded metropolitan environments. Key mechanical innovations include a dual shock absorption system and a novel paddle-lock folding assembly. This research highlights the structural design, material selection, and user-centric considerations, paving the way for a viable micromobility solution for smart cities.
