An Enhanced Intelligent Methodology on Packaging Design based using Augmented Reality Technology

Augmented Reality (AR) technology can change the face of packaging design with the possibility of converting static traditional packages into immersive and interactive ones. Traditional packaging is only concerned about appearance and presentation of information, which will not be sufficient to capture the attention of consumers or provide sophisticated product information. Current practices like the utilization of QR codes or plain digital overlays offer limited interactivity and lack immersion possibilities, hence they attract less customer interaction and limited market distinction. The study investigates the application of an innovative packaging design method using AR technology to place dynamic 3D visualizations, real-time interactive content, and user-optimized experiences through smartphones or AR devices. Placing AR triggers within packaging, consumers can engage with product benefits, instructions, and promotion details in interactive format, promoting improved understanding and interest. The proposed AR design packaging outperforms conventional approaches with enhanced user interaction and enhanced display of product information. A comparison indicates the model to be effective in the display of interactive content, which elicits glances and promotes brand allegiance. The research shows the benefit of incorporating AR technology into packaging as an emerging trend in an effort to fight changing consumers' demands and stimulate creativity in product modeling and marketing.
