Numerical Analysis of a Terahertz Metamaterial Sensor Enabled by Conference Matrix for Cancer Cell Detection
Cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality among global health challenges. To decrease the high death rate, early treatment and prevention should be implemented. Detection of cancer is required as an early warning system in order to effectively treat malignancies. In this study, a Terahertz (THz) sensor inspired by metamaterials is presented for breast cancer detection. A basic rectangular patch arrangement is coupled with conference matrix in the suggested sensor. In recent years, subwavelength metamaterial unit cells with their unique and adjustable features have attracted a great deal of attention; yet, meta-atoms created by a conference matrix distribution have been unimpressive in the available literature. Rather than their chemical composition, the effective properties of metamaterials are mostly determined by the geometry of their subwavelength unit cells. In addition to the design equations and permittivity calculations, this study also presents the design equations. The suggested metamaterial-based sensor works at 6.5 THz with -40.24 dB gain. In this work, its design evolution process, parametric research, and findings, including far field radiations, are also described. To evaluate the proposed Conference-Matrix-Metamaterial-Sensor (CMMS) process and its properties, a number of computational models and parametric sweeps have also been studied.
