Intelligent Robot System for Campus Security: A Robust Solution for Automated Inspection and Remote Monitoring

With the development of artificial intelligence technology, traditional manual inspection methods are gradually being replaced by automated robots, particularly in the field of campus security. This paper designs and implements an intelligent security inspection robot system based on automation control. The system utilizes the Windows operating system and the ROS opensource platform, with a backend robot control system designed. A high-definition camera is employed for video stream image acquisition, and image data is transmitted via the EMQX cloud server. A visualization interface is designed using QT software to display the collected images and the robot’s movement trajectory in real time. The robot system features autonomous navigation and achieves efficient inspection tasks through the integration of mechanical drive and automation control modules. Experimental results demonstrate that the system operates stably in a campus environment, capable of remote monitoring, path planning, and autonomous detection, showcasing strong performance in automation and mechanical integration. This system provides an efficient and reliable automated inspection solution for campus securit.
