Analysis and Performance Evaluation of Diffie-Hellman Algorithm
Analysis and Performance Evaluation of Diffie-Hellman (DH) algorithm provide an understanding of various Modified Diffie-Hellman (MDH) key-exchange algorithms, which is essential for safe communication. This study starts by discussing the limitations of traditional key-exchange methods and showing how important it is to have a safe key-exchange system that Diffie-Hellman successfully provides and explores how Diffie-Hellman works, including the importance of prime numbers and generators in establishing a shared secret key. It also shows the safety measures achieved with distinct key sizes, comparing them to familiar encryption procedures such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Rivest-Shamir-Adleman(RSA), and Triple Data Encryption Standard (3DES), and discusses potential weaknesses, including man-in-the-middle attacks. Recent developments, such as dual comparison methods, are proposed to enhance the Diffie-Hellman protocol's security. In order to boost cryptographic security, this study highlights the significance of improving the discrete logarithm algorithm, offering valuable information that facilitates further investigation within secure key exchange techniques.
