A Varactor-Based Reconfigurable Antenna for Beam Steering and Frequency Reconfigurability
Reconfigurable antennas provide flexibility, efficiency, and adaptation, which greatly enhance wireless communication. In this paper, varactor diodes have been used to achieve continuous frequency reconfigurability and beam reconfigurability. In this work, a maximum of six varactors have been used to get beam reconfigurablity. CST studio suite was used to design and simulate. A maximum of 30 degree main beam reconfigurability was achieved. Impedance matching was achieved over a broad frequency range of 2.5GHz to 4 GHz.
