Visionmorph: Enhancing Image Resolution Using Deep Learning
This project presents a deep learning-based solution to enhance image resolution using the Enhanced Deep Super-Resolution (EDSR) model. Unlike traditional interpolation methods, EDSR leverages convolutional neural networks and residual learning to reconstruct high-resolution images from lowresolution inputs. Implemented using TensorFlow, the model was trained on paired image datasets, optimizing Mean Squared Error (MSE) loss. It was evaluated using Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM), achieving PSNR above 42.98 dB and SSIM over 0.988, indicating high image fidelity. Visual analysis confirmed improved texture detail and clarity. The system can be applied in areas like satellite imaging, medical diagnostics, and photo enhancement. This work demonstrates that deep learning, particularly residual CNNs, provides a powerful method for single-image super-resolution.
