Capitalismo flexible: diagramas biográficos y suicidio en Quintana Roo
This paper presents the impact of the development of the corporate tourism industry on the biographical models of workers and their relationship with the high suicide rates in Quintana Roo. With a qualitative methodology, it presents the phenomenon of suicide as a modality of social violence, which stems from a political rationality that is expressed in the abandonment and neglect of people by the national states. People, unable to solve structural problems at a personal level, decree the end of their lives by their own hand; suicide, lodged at the level of individual life, conceals the dynamics of power and the form of degradation of the subject from their own subjective intimacy.
