The study of evolution of wavelet in computer aid imaging system
The evolution of Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems in medical imaging has been shaped by advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and signal processing, particularly wavelet transforms. Initially focused on detecting abnormalities, CAD systems have evolved into two main branches: Computer-Aided Detection (CADe) and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CADx). CADe identifies and localizes abnormalities, improving detection rates, while CADx classifies abnormalities to assess disease type and severity. Wavelet transforms enhance both by enabling multi-resolution analysis, improving feature detection and diagnostic precision. These innovations have significantly improved detection and diagnosis in fields like cancer, driving more accurate and personalized outcomes.
