STATE OF THE ECOLOGICAL TOURISM MARKET WITH A FOREST COMPONENT: VOLUMES, STRUCTURE, DYNAMICS

The article examines the state of the ecological tourism market with a forest component in Ukraine, with a focus on the Transcarpathian region. Theoretical and methodological principles and international approaches to the development of sustainable tourism are considered. Based on statistical data (2015–2024), the volumes, structure and dynamics of tourist flows are analyzed. Growth trends in 2015–2019, a decline during the COVID-19 pandemic and a partial recovery in 2022–2024 are identified. Key problems are identified: infrastructural insufficiency, fragmented statistics, environmental risks and the impact of martial law. Prospective development directions are substantiated: development of eco-infrastructure, digitalization of attendance accounting, integration of wellness practices and "forest baths", as well as international cooperation. It is concluded that ecotourism with a forest component is a segment with high potential for increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine in the global tourism market
