Time dependent Ginzburg–Landau theory for design of superconducting wire
In this study, we investigated superconducting wire. From Maxwell equations, it is known that current creates a magnetic field that suppresses superconductivity and the wire starts to conduct with resistance. To resolve this problem we consider the time dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory. The solutions of the system of equations show that an applied electric field, perpendicular to the axis of the wire and to the magnetic field restores superconductivity and wire starts to conduct without resistivity. We can increase the current to a new suppression of superconductivity and to restore superconductivity increasing the applied electric field. The aforementioned results permit us to conclude that the superconducting wire can transport a very strong current if the novel design discussed in the paper is applied.
