An IoT Integrated Polymeric Nanocomposite Membranes for Smart Produced Water
Industrial sectors, especially within the oil and gas industry, require innovative solutions to clean produced water as their demand for clean water increases. This research established an analytical system built from advanced polymeric nanocomposite membranes linked to Internet of Things (IoT) for smart real-time produced water treatment. Graphene nanomaterials added to polymers create membranes that offer better hydrophilicity together with increased mechanical properties and natural resistance to fouling agents. The integration of IoT into a new framework provides distant operation alongside self-monitored membrane performance indicators including permeate speed and fouling levels along with contaminant rejection. Experimental tests revealed substantial water quality enhancements together with continuous data collection systems which improved operational efficiency and sustainability rates. The collaboration between material science with smart technologies grants traditional wastewater systems a new adaptive capability using intelligent energy-efficient operations.
