Research on the Application of Bioinformatics Based on CiteSpace Visualization Analysis

Bioinformatics is one of the important research methods in biology. In order to grasp the development status and trend of bioinformatics, and grasp the application of bioinformatics, this paper utilized journal data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) as the research data source, retrieved 10,065 articles and selected 5,669 for analysis. The CiteSpace software is employed to conduct visual mapping analysis on the literature with the theme of "bioinformatics." The study showed that the application of bioinformatics research was on the rise in general, the members of the research team being fixed and concentrated, the occurrence of gene-related research keywords being more frequent, the application of bioinformatics in the direction of medical cancer prognosis is gradually developing, and the exploration of the application field of bioinformatics being more and more extensive. Therefore, in the application of bioinformatics research, we should strengthen the cooperation between different research groups and institutions to develop new research directions. Leveraging artificial intelligence technology to conduct a comprehensive screening and understanding of the fundamental research findings and hot - topics in a vast amount of literature is also conducive to gaining a thorough grasp of the current development status and future trends of bioinformatics.
