Enhancing Collaborative Problem-Solving Skills through Scenario-Based Virtual Learning Environments: Integrating Technical Content into Vocational English for Polytechnical Students

This research focuses on students majoring in science and engineering at a vocational college in Tianjin. It proposes to establish a contextualized learning environment in the general vocational English course, leveraging virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies.[2] By simulating technical collaboration tasks within real industrial contexts, this learning environment aims to foster the coordinated development of students' English application capabilities and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills. Empirical data indicate that, compared with the traditional teaching group, students in the experimental group have achieved a 32%-47% improvement in collaboration efficiency, the accuracy of technical term usage, and the quality of task completion.
