Kadınların Sağlık Hizmetlerine Erişimi: Etkileyici Faktörler ve Bölgesel Farklılıklar

Health, the most fundamental need of human beings and society, is an essential concept that everyone should have access to. The formation of a continuous health cycle across generations is only possible with healthy women, given their place and importance in society. This study aims to examine the factors affecting women's access to healthcare services in Turkey, identify regional disparities, and provide guidance for policymakers. Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Ministry of Health, and the Social Security Institution were used in the research. While the Marmara Region has the highest values in terms of population density and access to healthcare services, the Eastern and Southeast Anatolia Region has the lowest. Women's education levels and their rates of being insured emerge as significant factors influencing access to healthcare services. The relationship between women-specific data and the number of healthcare institutions aligns with the Ministry of Health's healthcare service planning. The study shows that regional disparities in access to healthcare services are significant according to gender. In conclusion, regional and socioeconomic factors should be considered to address inequalities in access to healthcare services.
