CHARACTERISTICS OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH METHODS IN PHYSICAL CULTURE AND SPORTS
The article presents and characterizes the most relevant methods of scientific research used in physical culture and sports when writing a scientific paper as tools of scientific knowledge used by scientists to obtain new knowledge, solve various problems that arise during the study of certain objects or phenomena, and allow not only to collect information, but also to test hypotheses, develop new concepts and formulate theories (analysis of literature (psychological and pedagogical, scientific and methodological, etc.); pedagogical observation; surveys, conversations, interviews and questionnaires; control tests (testing); timing; expert assessment; pedagogical experiment; mathematical statistics). The idea is substantiated that the development of a significant number of scientific research methods in physical culture and sports is valuable due to the resulting opportunity to apply in each specific case the techniques, methods and techniques of registration and collection of information (physiological, psychological, biomechanical, medical, etc.); from conventional visual analysis and evaluation to the use of modern technical devices and instruments using modern computers and information technologies. Recommendations are proposed that should be followed when conducting control exercises and tests, in particular: equal testing conditions (for example, time of day, mealtime, volume of loads, etc.); accessibility, regardless of the level of technical and physical fitness of participants; indifference (independence) in relation to the pedagogical factors being studied; objectivity of measurement values (for example, in time, space, number of repetitions, etc.); simplicity of measurement and evaluation, visuality of test results for test participants.
