A STUDY OF ORGANIC FARMING IN HARYANA

Haryana organic farming- Farmers are going for organic farming in Haryana for environmental and human health benefits. In a study, it was found out that farmers these days are changing their practices from conventional methods that are harmful to the environment towards organic farming practices which is the need of the hour. 26 October, 2023 – The high use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in Haryana can be mitigated through organic farming, as per a new study released today. Moreover, the research revealed improved yield and quality. In Haryana, these are higher under organic agriculture. Natural fertilizers and natural pesticides help farmers grow these crops without any toxic chemicals and residues. Furthermore, the study concluded that organic farming practices have played a significant role in mitigating pollution in Haryana, especially concerning water resources, thus contributing to the sustainability of agricultural practices in the area. The research demonstrated that implementing organic farming can lead to improved soil health, increased biodiversity, and a reduction in the use of synthetic chemicals.
