AI as a cognitive Coach Investigating it's Role in Enhancing Executive Function in Adolescents

The study examines the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to examine executive function skills of adolescents aged between 12 and 18 years. A quantitative research design used the collected data of 280 students who were randomly sampled in a stratified manner at the secondary school level. The research determined the effect of using AI coaching tools on valuable mental skills such as attention, memory, and self-control. The result showed a strong correlation amid the boosts in these executive functions and the AI cognitive coaching. Artificial intelligence tools supported a personalized and instant feedback that enabled the adolescents to practice and learn their skills better in comparison to any other tutoring method. The second result of the research was that AI coaching inspired and interested individuals by paying attention to individual learning needs and the emotional state. According to the statistical analysis, significant differences between the students who frequently used the AI coaching and those who did not use it obviously existed in the process of the executive functions development. The outcome revealed that the correlation was very high between these executive functions enhancement and the AI cognitive coaching. The personalized and instant feedback was facilitated by artificial intelligence tools and therefore allowed the teenagers to better learn their skills than by any other tutoring technique. The second finding of the study was related to the fact that AI coaching fascinated and motivated people through focusing on personal learning needs and emotional status. Based on the statistical analysis, there was obviously a significant difference between the students who widely used the AI coaching and those who did not use the latter in the process of the executive functions development.
