A Robust S‐PS Compensated Fractional‐Order Wireless Power Transfer System With Distance Extension
ABSTRACT Compared with conventional integer‐order wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, fractional‐order WPT systems exhibit unique adaptive frequency characteristics where both natural resonant frequency and operating frequency dynamically adjust to variations in the coupling coefficient and load. This intrinsic adaptability enables the fractional‐order WPT system to maintain consistent output power and transfer efficiency across a wide range of coupling conditions, load fluctuations, and frequency deviations. Nevertheless, the transfer range of the original fractional‐order WPT system is limited. Therefore, this paper presents an extended‐distance fractional‐order WPT system with series–parallel series (S‐PS) compensation. The circuit model of the proposed system is established, and the transfer characteristics are analyzed. Furthermore, a prototype is built to validate the feasibility of the proposed system. The theoretical analysis and experimental results demonstrate remarkable stability in both transfer efficiency and output power while maintaining insensitivity to resonant frequency variations. Notably, the proposed system achieves a substantial 150% enhancement in transfer range compared to conventional fractional‐order WPT systems.
