A STUDY ON THE KEY EFFORTS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA IN THE 2025 BUDGET TO ENHANCE THE FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY OF INDIAN FARMERS
The Union Budget 2025-26 introduces several initiatives to enhance the financial sustainability of Indian farmers. This paper examines key allocations, policy reforms, and potential impacts of these budgetary efforts. The budget maintains a strong focus on welfare schemes, yet concerns remain about the effectiveness of subsidies versus investment in long-term growth sectors such as agricultural research, irrigation, and infrastructure development. This study evaluates the balance between immediate relief measures and structural reforms aimed at financial sustainability and proposes strategic policy recommendations for farmer's revenue and profitability growth and achieve the goal of maximizing their savings and resilience against economic and climate-related uncertainties.
