A new configuration of Miura-ori and its application in folding bridge
To meet the portability and stability of foldable bridges, this paper proposes an innovative inward composite Mira folding structure, which improves the traditional Mira folding concept. Theoretically analyzes the feasibility of the composite structure through the side length formula. There are multiple possible inward composite structures under the same theory. A model is established to determine the optimal composite ratio and polar moments of inertia are introduced for comparison. Using the interpolation fitting method and control variable method to obtain the optimal solution, we proposed an analysis scheme with maximum elongation while ensuring bending stiffness in the practical application of folding bridges. The structure of this paper is as follows: In the introduction section, we found a need for composite Miura origami structures. In the research methods section, we proposed and analyzed a new composite Miura origami structure. In the summary section, we summarized our research results and proposed the application and prospects of this structure and analysis method.
