Study on the mechanism of joint operation of high-pressure water jet and mechanical tool based on numerical simulation of coupled field

In this paper, the mechanism of combined operation of high-pressure water jet and mechanical cutter is studied, aiming at solving the problems of low efficiency, high energy consumption and serious equipment wear in the traditional single operation mode when dealing with blockage crushing. By constructing a Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) model and introducing a material damage model, and combining with a multiscale numerical simulation method, the interaction mechanism between the impact pressure of water jet and the cutting force of the tool and its influence on the blockage breaking process are deeply analyzed. In the experimental part, a joint operation experimental platform including high-pressure water pump, six degree of freedom manipulator and polycrystalline corundum plug was built to verify the effectiveness of the numerical simulation model. The results show that the crushing volume ratio is 34.6 cm3/s and the specific energy consumption is 1.5 kJ/cm3/s under the combined action of the jet pressure of 200 MPa and the tool feed rate of 0.8 m/s, which is significantly better than the single operation mode. Furthermore, the response surface method combined with NSGA-II algorithm was used to optimize the parameters, and the jet pressure was 180 MPa, the feed rate was 0.6 m/s and the inclination angle was 25°. After optimization, the crushing efficiency increased by 42% compared with the initial parameters, and the specific energy consumption decreased by 28%. This study provides theoretical basis and parameter guidance for the optimization of high-pressure water jet and mechanical tool joint operation technology and has important engineering application value.
