Evaluation of the efficiency of electronic filing systems in handling records: a case study of SRIKANDI applications in government institutions

This study evaluates the efficiency of the Integrated Records Information System (SRIKANDI) in managing records within Indonesian government institutions. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from 100 government employees across various institutional levels. Findings indicate that 85% of respondents reported satisfaction (50% satisfied, 35% very satisfied) with SRIKANDI, citing improved accessibility (mean score 4.5) and collaboration (4.6). However, challenges such as technical disruptions (mean score 3.8) and insufficient training (3.9) persist. Regression analysis revealed ease of use (β = 0.55, p < 0.001) as the strongest predictor of perceived effectiveness. The study contributes to digital governance literature by contextualizing SRIKANDI within Indonesia’s Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) and proposing policy recommendations for infrastructure and human resource development.
