The Image of a Big City in the Metaphor System of the Telegram Blogosphere of Ekaterinburg

The article explores the problems of representing the image of Ekaterinburg in publications of the local telegram blogosphere. Based on the analysis of the theoretical base, the functions of the socio-political blogosphere, and methods of constructing the image of a metropolis using a system of metaphors are considered. The empirical base of the study consists of materials from socio-political telegram channels, the main topics of which are devoted to the life of the capital of the Urals. The key units of analysis are the metaphors used in the posts — Third capital, City of Demons, City of the Brave, Gryazburg, and the City of Constructivism.
