The Opinion of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Poland Regarding the Modification of a Contract for a Work or Construction Contract in Light of an Extraordinary Increase in Prices

This article presents an analysis of the recommendation issued by the Polish Attorney General on August 2, 2022, titled “Amendment of a contract due to extraordinary price increases (wage indexation) – key issues”. The issues discussed pertain to the field of public procurement law. However, a significant portion of these issues has a universal character, meaning they can also be applied to contracts outside the scope of the aforementioned subject matter.
