Preparation of Ag3PO4/g-C3N4 composite nanomaterial for photocatalysis
The calcination and in-situ precipitation methods have been applied to prepare silver phosphate-modified graphitic carbon nitrid (Ag₃PO₄/g-C₃N₄). XRD, SEM, UV-Vis DRS and FT-IR were employed to evaluate the phase composition, morphological features, and light absorption characteristics of the nanomaterials, respectively. The visible-light-driven photocatalytic activity was further evaluated through the degradation of RhB. The photocatalytic degradation rate of RhB by Ag₃PO₄/g-C₃N₄ markedly surpassed that of pure g-C₃N₄ when tested under identical experimental parameters. This performance enhancement can be primarily ascribed to the superior visible radiation harvesting capability of Ag₃PO₄/g-C₃N₄ relative to unmodified g-C₃N₄.
