Residual stress regulation of 4340 high strength steel based on deep rolling technology
Under the contact load of deep rolling pressure, the surface of the workpiece has uneven plastic deformation and introduces residual stress. Compared with other surface processing methods, deep rolling processing has the advantages of low cold hardening and high residual pressure stress field, which makes the residual stress of rolling surface not easy to relax. In this paper, the process test of 4340 high strength steel through the deep rolling process, and it is found that the residual stress and residual stress on the deep rolling surface increase with the increase of the rolling pressure, due to the higher rolling pressure will produce a stronger Hertz contact stress field. The prediction model assumes that residual stress can correctly reflect the changing trend of residual stress with rolling pressure, while the prediction model of single segment linear hardening is difficult to predict correctly.
