Structural design and manufacture of a composite material antenna skeleton
To ensure that the antenna skeleton has a high rigid strength, its weight is usually heavy, which does not meet the urgent demand of airborne radar for lightweight. This paper uses the composite material to design the antenna skeleton to meet the lightweight requirements of the airborne radar. The main body of the composite material structure is sandwich structure, the core material is high temperature and high strength polymethylacrylamide (PMI) foam molding, and the skin is made of high performance glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin. The antenna skeleton adopts truss structure, which is made of positioning assembly tooling to glue various specifications of joints and square pipes. The weight of the antenna skeleton made of composite material is more than 70% less than that of aluminum alloy material, which can be used for reference for the structural design of other airborne antenna skeleton.
