Distribution of Cd in soil of western part of Hainan Island
The problem of heavy metal pollution in farmland soil has gradually become a major agricultural ecological environment issue in current society. Clarifying the distribution characteristics of soil cadmium in high background areas of Hainan Island can provide ideas for agricultural food safety research in Hainan and tropical area. The main result is that the soil cadmium in the western region of Hainan Island mainly comes from the parent material, and the soil cadmium content in the area is 0.09 mg/kg. The cadmium content in surface soil is generally lower than that in deep soil, but the high variability of cadmium content in surface soil indicates that some areas may be affected by external pollution. The soil parent material factor is the main influencing factor on the spatial distribution of cadmium. The distribution of volcanic ash soil in the northern region of the research area has a relative higher cadmium content in both the surface and deep soil layers, and the content of cadmium in the surface layer is higher than that in the deeper layer.
