QSO COMPOSICIÓN ESPECTRAL Y ESPECTRO MEDIO DE CUÁSARES EN SDSS

Using a total of 750 414 quasars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 16 quasar catalog (DR16Q), a mean spectrum for quasars with cosmological redshift (z, redshift) between 0.01 and 5.3 was composed. The total sample was divided into 8z intervals which provided a better signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) than obtained in previous similar studies. The Spectral Composition process is an essential technique for the analysis of quasars and one of the most accurate in the estimation of their physical properties, such as, equivalent width (EW), emission line shape, luminosity (L), black hole mass (MBH), as well as, to determine relationships between physical properties such as the Baldwin effect (BE). To date, it is the mean composite spectrum with the largest number of quasars, reaching a maximum S/N ratio of 1 418 per pixel at 2 367Å. It has been possible to identify the Gunn-Peterson effect at wavelengths shorter than Ly and a spectral image has also been obtained for wavelengths shorter than the Lyman limit (912 Å) up to 516 Å.
