Eu sei o que vocês fizeram no verão passado: análise discursiva de uma particitação na política brasileira

In this study, we aim to investigate the discursive functioning of the statement “I know what you did last summer”, which has circulated within the Brazilian political scene in recent years. The theoretical framework employed is based on French Discourse Analysis, with a particular focus on the concepts of aphorising enunciation. The corpus consists of excerpts from print, television, and digital media in which the statement and its potential variations appear. Given that, in the corpus, occurrences of the statement are not introduced by verb dicendi and its interpretation requires the activation of a thesaurus, the reason why we argue that it corresponds to a particitation. From a classificatory standpoint, the analyzed utterance does not fit into any of the canonical particitation families.
