Dual-chain error modeling and sensitivity analysis of a thin-walled deep-hole internal thread grinder

The machining accuracy of thin-walled deep hole internal thread grinding machine is mainly affected by geometric error factors. In order to improve its machining accuracy, error modeling and sensitivity analysis are carried out with the thin-walled deep hole internal thread grinder as the research object. Aiming at the problem of insufficient multi-system error coupling analysis in traditional error modeling methods, this study successively constructs the geometric error models of the grinding system and the dressing system based on the multi-body system theory, which completely characterize 55 geometric errors. Then, the sensitivity weights of the error sources are identified based on the function differential method, and the key error sources affecting the machining accuracy are effectively identified. The results show that the sum of the sensitivities of the key error sources of the grinding system and the dressing system in all directions is around 0.9. By analyzing the influence of each geometric error source on the grinding system and dressing system and identifying the key geometric error sources, a theoretical foundation is laid for the error distribution and accuracy design of thin-walled deep hole internal thread grinding machine.
