Array micro-optics: applications to projection and spectral sensing
Micro-optical multiaperture approaches enable for compact system designs and feature a scalability that is hardly reached by single aperture approaches. This can be exploited in different ways: first in projection applications usually requiring large system apertures to achieve high brightness projection e.g. in the context of automotive head lamp and ground projection. Second, for sensing tasks to increase the number of simultaneous measurements as illustrated by an array of grating spectrometers.
