Optimization analysis of quantitative degasser based on response surface methodology

Improving the degassing efficiency of the degasser is of great significance for the accuracy and timeliness of gas logging technology analysis. Based on the principle of rotational centrifugal separation, this paper optimizes the structure design of the degasser and proposes a new type of quantitative degasser with dual-stage separation of centrifugation and stirring. The flow field inside the degasser is numerically simulated using CFD fluid analysis software to quantitatively analyze the effects of cone wall angle and stirring rod length on degassing efficiency. The analysis results show that as the cone wall angle increases, the degassing efficiency shows a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. With the increase of rotation speed and stirring rod size, the degassing efficiency shows an upward trend; With the goal of maximum degassing efficiency, the optimal degassing efficiency parameter combination for the quantitative degasser is a rotational speed of 1450r/min, a cone wall angle of 35.38°, and a stirring rod length of 160mm. This model predicts that under the influence of the optimal degassing efficiency parameter combination, the degassing efficiency of the quantitative degasser can reach 48.2%. It is of great significance to improve the degassing efficiency of the degasser for the timely discovery of oil and gas display at well site of exploration and the safety of drilling operation.
