Research on micro-geometry modification of planetary gear reducers based on the rigid-flexible coupled dynamic model
At present, the application of planetary gear reducers is becoming increasingly widespread but during their operation, corresponding vibration and noise problems may occur due to internal high-frequency impacts and other reasons. In order to mitigate this problem, this study used the rigid-flexible coupled dynamic model to conduct micro-geometry modification research on planetary gear reducers. But in the existing research on micro-geometry modification of planetary gear reducers using this method, only the influence of planet carrier deformation was considered, ignoring the influence of the box. In this study, the rigid-flexible coupled dynamic model was used to simultaneously consider the flexibility of the planet carrier and the box to conduct micro-geometry modification research. This method can make the model more accurate. Dynamic simulation analysis of this reducer showed that there was a significant deviation in the tooth surface of the sun-planet gear meshing, and the transmission error was relatively large. Based on these findings, it was proposed to use the second-generation genetic algorithm in Romax software for gear micro-geometry modification on the sun gear. Comparative analysis demonstrated that, after micro-geometry modification, the sun-planet gear meshing’s peak to peak value of the transmission error was reduced by 80.39% , the peak contact load was reduced by 13.95% and the phenomenon of load maldistribution was significantly alleviated. Through this micro-geometry modification study, the dynamic characteristics of the reducer have been effectively improved, which can reduce vibration and noise to a certain extent.
