Design and implementation of a 3D industrial model generator
Addressing the pain points of low efficiency, high cost, and inadequate geometric accuracy in existing industrial 3D modeling, this study introduces a "Text to 3D" generation system that leverages diffusion models and Transformer architecture. The system integrates multimodal input processing, decouples geometry and texture generation, and incorporates industrial standard compliance verification modules to automate the creation of high-precision 3D models from text and images. Experimental results demonstrate that the system significantly outperforms existing solutions in multiple key metrics. Specifically, it achieves a remarkable generation efficiency with a single-model generation time reduced to just 3 seconds. In terms of geometric accuracy, the system attains an Intersection over Union (IoU) score of 93.6%, indicating highly accurate model geometry. Additionally, the texture consistency is enhanced, with a Learned Perceptual Image Patch Similarity (LPIPS) score of 0.0032, ensuring visually consistent textures across multiple views. The system's memory footprint is also optimized, requiring only 18GB of memory, making it highly resource-efficient. The geometric error is kept below 4.2%, further highlighting the system's precision. These advancements collectively enhance the efficiency and compliance of industrial design processes, offering a novel technological solution that can significantly boost productivity and precision in the intelligent manufacturing field.
